I’m writing to let you know that I have tendered my resignation as position of chair of the Board of Trustees. The Board has elected current board member, Anna Fuiava, as chair, and Anna will take up her new role on 8 July, with the intention to have a period of handover before the board elections in September.

I joined the board in February 2018. It has been a privilege to be part of a team serving the School community over the past four and half years. The Board sets the policy direction for the School, and for its facilities. Additionally, the Board has had the opportunity to provide targeted funding in several areas to support student achievement.

We have unfortunately also experienced a disrupted period of school life due to COVID 19 and, as a Board, we have focused on supporting the continued delivery of our educational program. I would like to thank my fellow board members, together with Moira Blair and the school’s leadership team, for their commitment to the School during this time.

The School is well-placed to continue to raise levels of student achievement. I encourage members of our community who may be considering joining the board, to contact the School office and put their name forward for the upcoming September elections. It is an opportunity to make a positive difference in your community.
