Term 3 Parent Partnership Meetings

John Waller —

The overwhelming feedback from parents after the term 1 meetings was that you would prefer to have face to face meetings if possible. With that in mind, we are really excited to invite you all back onsite for the term 3 Parent Partnership Meetings on the 3rd and 4th of August.

Research shows that students make the best progress when there is a strong learning focused relationship between school and home.

We encourage all our parents to get in touch with the class teacher as needed throughout the year and we provide more formalised opportunities during our Parent Partnership meetings.

These meetings are a booked appointment for a three-way conference involving the student, parent and teacher. This will give you the opportunity to discuss your child's skills, competencies and progress indicated in the mid-year report. Where possible we value the voice of the child in these meetings and encourage them to talk about their own learning but there will be time for you to talk to the teacher. We will be adhering strictly to the 15 minute allocated time slot, please be prompt to your meeting.

The partnership meetings will be held on:

Wednesday 3rd August (School closes at 12.30pm)

Thursday 4th August

Note: There will be no booked appointments in Room 24 this time round as the teacher has just started this week. We are providing the opportunity for parents to drop in and meet her but there will be no formal meeting times. Parents are free to drop in between 2pm and 4pm on the 3rd and between 3.15 and 4.15 on the 4th.
