With the changes to the New Zealand Curriculum - Te Mātaiaho Three Kings will be altering how they teach Literacy from 2024.

As you will have read over the past few weeks in the newsletter, Te Mātaiaho is structured in learning phases spanning Years 0-3 and 4-6. Phase 1 incorporates Koru which from 2024 will include our Year 3 classes.

With the focus of this phase being on students "Thriving in environments rich in literacy and numeracy" and in response to the science of learning Three Kings will be changing their approach to literacy. We have engaged the support of an outside agency to guide us on this journey.
