The Sleep(?)over

Nicola Eka —

I'm not sure how much sleep was had especially by the teachers and parent helpers but the Sleepover was a major success.

Last week almost 100 eager students along with 5 teachers and a number of parent helpers set up camp for an epic sleepover in the hall.

After getting settled into our PJs and watching part of a movie, we were treated to a night sky tour thanks to Mel Bruges who had set up the telescope with a perfect view of the moon. She led groups through a star chat where the hook and the Southern Star were seen, all thanks to the lasers she had also brought with her.

The students were amazing and after catching a few zzz's (some less than others) it was time for breakfast. A massive thank you to all the parents who stayed over.

POROHITA SLEEPOVER - By Edith

On Thursday most of the Porohita team came to the sleepover. First, we watched Wall-E the movie then we looked at the telescope and an app called Sky Light View. Then we settled down and got ready for some sleep. Me and my friend could not sleep because someone was snoring too loud!
