NIUEAN LANGUAGE WEEK!
Fakaalofa lahi atu Parents, Our teachers and students will be acknowledging and celebrating Niuean Language Week at Three Kings School. The theme for this year is Fakaako, Fakaaoga, Fakamau kia Mauokafua e Vagahau Niue’ Learn, Use, Retain, maintain our Vagahau Niue is a message to all Niueans, to use the language or it will eventually be lost.
Why do we celebrate Niuean Language Week at Three Kings School?
• To raise awareness of the Niuean language and culture
• To involve and encourage our children, and staff to take part in celebrating Niuean Language Week
• To promote initiatives to maintain and grow the recognition, learning the Niuean language in the home, in education, work, government, media, sports, arts, church and in the community.

• The capital of Niue is the village of Alofi. • Niue pronounced “New-e for example ‘e’ as in ‘end’ – which means ‘behold the coconut’
