Whakawhanaungatanga is the process of establishing meaningful, authentic relationships. We plan on starting next year with individual appointments between teacher and whānau to begin building the relationships from day one.

On Monday 11 December your child will bring home a slip of paper with their class teacher for next year and information on how to sign up for an appointment. The sessions will be 10 minutes and the aim will be to begin to build partnerships and to gain a shared understanding of whānau goals, aspirations, learning strengths and challenges for their child. 

This event takes place on Wednesday 7th February. This is a whole day of appointments and is not a school day.

We encourage you to book a slot when you receive this information on Monday.  At this busy time of year it would be really beneficial to have people booked in as soon as possible, to reduce the time needed to follow up with families.  We are really keen to meet with every family and will need to lock in times prior to the holidays.
