Congratulations to our Kauri team speech winners for 2019.

It was a real privilege to be able to judge the Year 5 and 6 speech finals on Monday alongside Claire Silvester. All 12 finalists did a great job and made the decision very difficult.  We were impressed with their ability to persuade and inform with their choice of language. They all projected their voices beautifully in a hall full of Kauri students, teachers and families. Congratulations to our winners:

First place - Thomas Selby with a speech on 'Why you shouldn't go camping'.

Second place - Liam Yeh who convinced us 'Why being a kid is better than being an adult'.

Third Place - Raffaella Cox with a crowd pleasing 'Why homework should be banned'.
