Keeping Ourselves Safe Parent and Whanau Information Meeting

Liz ClarksonMarch 1, 2020

Date: Monday 16 March 9-10am with Community Constable Laing

Dear parents and whanau

As a part of our health curriculum at Three Kings School we work in partnership with NZ Police teaching the Keeping Ourselves Safe [KOS] education programme. Keeping Ourselves Safe enables children and young people to learn and apply a range of safety skills that they can use when interacting with others, including online safety for Year 5 and Year 6 students. Throughout the programme students learn to recognise the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships in a variety of different situations.

As part of the programme we offer an opportunity for parents and whanau to meet with our community school police officer Constable Tineke Laing. Constable Laing will outline the KOS programme for each level of the school and answer questions that you may have before teaching and learning in classrooms commences -starting Monday 30 March.

Date: Monday 16 March

Time: 9-10am

Venue: School Library

Please RSVP via email to: liz.clarkson@threekings.school.nz  for an indication of numbers attending.
