Uniform Update

Peter Richmond —

Thank you to the 18 people that filled in our uniform survey, your thoughts and ideas where appreciated. Please read below for more information......

Please note that the small changes being made will co-inside with the uniform we have now, there is no need to purchase all new uniform and we still have plenty of second hand uniform available. This means there will be a smooth transition over time.

Results from our survey:

22% of people scored a 5 (highest score) for the traditional red polo with a 65% poly/35% cotton mix and 22% of people also scored a 5 for the navy/red 100% poly sports polo.

It was the comments that made the most impact.

Red Polo:

"Great to keep the red tops"

"I think we should stick with red as our base colour. It helps to differentiate us from the other North Canterbury schools"

Navy/Red Sports Polo:

"With navy shorts, too much navy. Not a natural material that can smell over time"

"Don't really like that it's 100% poly"

"100% plastic. The classrooms will absolutely stink!"

We will move forward with the red polo and the school logo will be added. Steps were taken to find 100% cotton however the longevity of the product becomes compromised and it would be a thinner product.

The logo was a simpler outcome and slight changes to maintain the history of the school have been added. The logo will be added to the polo shirts, jackets (polar fleece/softshell), merino tops, sweatshirt tops, sunhats and beanies.

There will be a range of new products and some generic products. We will hold every second size here at school, available for a fitting before purchasing online.

We are finalising other options to include on our Tihiraki North Loburn Mainland Uniform page and it will go live soon, however uniform will still be available from The Warehouse - Schooltex until all stock is gone.
