Karate Grading - by Finley Robinson

Kate Hassall —

During the weekend 24 people did their Karate grading at the North Loburn Hall. Half of them go to North Loburn School.

The grading lasted 2 hours for the junior belts, 5 hours for the middle belts and 7 hours for the most senior belts. Students demonstrated their physical fitness, their knowledge of routines and sparring in styles of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu ( BJJ/ ground fighting) Karate and Taekwondo.

This grading tested everyone's mental strength, ability and resilience. Connor sensei said “the grading was done to a high standard and everyone should be very proud of themselves.” Everyone got the belt they were hoping for.
