Mānuka draws like Henry Matisse!
This week Mānuka finished off their learning about the French artist Henry Matisse. He is famous for his bright, wild colours, and for creating shapes and artworks with scissors. While unwell he also drew portraits of his grandchildren above his bed using chalk taped to long poles. We recreated this technique, and after much laughing and some frustration we reflected that he must have been very clever! It was tricky to control the pen and we thought we would need much more practice!
