Royal NZ Ballet Dance Workshops

We are excited to let you know that we will be hosting dance workshops in Christchurch from Tuesday 5th to Friday 8th August during our season tour of Home, Land and Sea (https://rnzb.org.nz/show/home-land-and-sea).

Our workshops are extremely flexible and can be adapted depending on age and ability-  We normally structure the lesson with a warmup, some short warmup sequences and travelling steps/progressions and then finish off by teaching some choreography based off some RNZB repertoire. It’s an awesome way for the students to learn some choreography that has been performed by us on stage!

The cost of the workshops is $5 per student, minimum 10 and a maximum of 30 students per workshop. Although, If funding is a barrier please get in contact as we may be able to provide financial assistance.

Feel free to email us with any questions and if you would like to go ahead and book some dance workshops in!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Ngā mihi,

Kidsfest and Library Reading Challenge

Waimakariri Libraries are delighted to offer fun for the whole family in the July School Holidays, and interactive learning opportunities for Term 3 2025.

Kids Fest returns to all three Waimakariri libraries in the July school holidays with a range of exciting water-themed events and activities for you and your whānau to engage with.

KidsFest runs from 28 June to 13 July 2025, to entertain and educate our tamariki. With hundreds of events on offer, don't miss it.

For more information see the attached document.

If you pop into any of our libraries in the holidays, pick up a Winter Reading Challenge Booklet, complete 5 challenges, and return your booklet to a staff member by 31 July 2025 to go into the prize draw.

When you pick up a booklet for your child, remember to pick one up for yourself, too! Participating in this challenge is great role-modelling for your child and will encourage them to complete it.

We will have displays with plenty of reading suggestions for the challenges across our three libraries, including resources from our eLibrary.

Please see the Winter Reading Challenge 2025 attachment for more information.
