Following our amazing Pirate Production last week, Mānuka have spent some time reflecting on what a great time it was. We turned some of this thinking into 'Production is...' poems. We wrote our poetry lines, rearranged them, and some of us even removed the sentence beginnings to make it more interesting. We haven't illustrated them yet, but when we do they'll be on display. Come on in and check them out.
The government has announced a service for Minor Health Conditions - here is what you need to know.
This week the Juniors have mixed the classes and spent some time exploring Matariki. It was lovely seeing the classes work alongside each other. We shared Matariki stories together. In Mānuka we designed our own Matariki lanterns and in Rimu we explored Waita (the salt water star) and the creatures that live in our moana. We are really looking forward to our Matariki Celebration Day on Friday. What a fun week we are having!
Well done Taylor and Connor for representing Tihiraki North Loburn and promoting our Garden to Table programme at New World Rangiora last Saturday. Your smiles and enthusiasm were next level and the lemon and rhubarb muffins you made for the shoppers to sample were delicious!
A popular pastime during Matariki was whai (string games).
