We congratulate our Rector, Mr Nick McIvor, on his recent appointment to the position of Rector of King's High School in Dunedin, a position he will commence in Term 3.

As a result, staff, parents and students have been consulted, seeking feedback regarding the qualities of the new Rector.

The following timeline will give guidance to our school community regarding the expected timeline for the appointment process.

The Board is being assisted by a NZ School Trustees Association endorsed consultant who is a former secondary school principal.

• 13 May: collection of parent/student/staff opinions on the qualities of the new Rector
• 27 May: position advertised in the Gazette and online
• 1 July: applications close
• short listing / interviews / reference checks / position offer & acceptance
• end July: School community advised
• 7 October: new Rector commences - start of Term 4 2019
