The boys were under instruction from Ara Institute who instilled basic Alpine skills, including  crampon, ice axe and snow safety. This was a great experience for all the boys involved.

The Year 10  Outdoor Education class also headed into the outdoors, taking part in a day with Ara Recreation students at Peel Forest. This covered basic Bushcraft techniques like firelighting, shelter building and navigation.
