The Lion King Jnr is off with a hiss and a roar (if you'll excuse the pun!).

In week two of this term, auditions were held for those interested in performing in The Lion King Jnr; the 2016 TBHS & TGHS joint production, hosted by TBHS. A lot of talented performers auditioned for the fifteen lead roles and supporting ensemble. With the aid of some strategic double casting, twenty students have gained lead roles in the production with a further twenty five making up the ensemble.

Work has already begun, with students meeting three times a week to sing, work through the text and create puppets and masks. Some community members have already offered their assistance in bringing this show to the stage in what we believe to be its New Zealand premiere, but there is still plenty of opportunity to be involved!
