We are a group of five boys taking part in the Young Enterprise Scheme. Our business's name is Blue Awareness and it is our goal to raise funds and awareness for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand by producing and distributing custom made ties, sublimated with the blue ribbon logo.
Our aim is for senior students and staff to wear our ties
during September to promote Blue September and raise money for this charity.
As a single-sex boys’ high school, we feel it is important to raise awareness of prostate cancer and to show support for the Prostate Cancer Foundation and all the work it does. We feel that by giving the Prostate Cancer Foundation $5 per tie, this will enable them to be able to continue supporting families who have been affected by the disease, and to work towards a cure. We are selling our ties at $20 each and these are available for purchase from the Student Office.
