As part of Engineering Week, on 15 August, the senior ANTS group and other senior scientists travelled to Christchurch to visit Dynamic Controls which is a manufacturer of electric wheelchairs.

Our students met with engineers to discuss their role in the design process and after meeting the engineers, boys were able to try out the many versions of wheelchairs and scooters made by the company. In the afternoon we visited Canterbury University to have a tour of the Engineering School and take part in a bridge building challenge.
