Congratulations to Adam McEwan who is a recipient of the National BCITO (Building & Construction Industry Training Organisations) 2019 photo competition.

Adam received his award in the Highly Commended section resulting in a prize of a $100 PrezzyCard.

Adam's two Year 11 projects this year consisted of a Toolbox and a Cape Cod Chair. Throughout the year he has learnt and applied a range of different construction techniques using a variety of hand and machine tools. Adam has a good eye for detail while maintaining a high level of accuracy and finish as he brings his projects to fruition.

Fiona Beardslee from BCITO congratulated Adam in an email sent to him, encouraging him to enter again next year.

It is estimated that in the next 6 years 60,000 people will need to be employed nation wide in all aspects of the building and construction industry to support the growth and demand for their services. Employers are looking to take on and train students (male and female) with strong personal attributes, offering them full support and a bright future.
