NZ Waterski National Championships

Accolades to the family trio of Taine, Cody and Will Gibson who have excelled this season in the New Zealand Waterski National Championships held at Lake Crichton, winning a credible four New Zealand titles amongst them. Results are as follow:

· Taine: 1st in Boys U17 Slalom, 1st in Boys U17 Jump, 3rd Overall, 4th in Open Men's Slalom, 4th in Open Men's Jump, 3rd in Open Night Jump and also winner of the most gutsiest performance at the tournament.

· Cody: 3rd in Boys U17 Jump, 4th in Boys U17 Trick, 4th in Open Night Jump.

· Will: 1st in Junior Boys U14 Jump (just shy of a NZ record), 2nd in junior boys U14 Slalom, 3rd in junior boys U14 Trick and 1st Overall.

Taine and Cody are jumping around 46 metres (nearly half a rugby field!) and Will is jumping around 34 metres.

Taine and Cody have also been selected to compete as members of the New Zealand Junior Water Skiing team to contest the world championships in Chile in January 2017.
