We were very fortunate to have renowned historian, Professor Glyn Harper visit our school on Wednesday 15 August.

Glyn Harper is a professor of War Studies at Massey University in Palmerston North. He was the Director of the Centre for Defence and Security Studies for eight years and is currently Massey Project Manager for the Centenary of History of New Zealand and the First World War.

Professor Harper co-ordinated two sessions in our Hogben Assembly Hall. The first focused on the Great War and was attended by both the Senior and Junior year levels. The second was designed specifically for History students in Levels 2 and 3 and focused on the Holocaust.

History Scholarship students also attended a special seminar on Gallipoli with Professor Harper after school in the Memorial Library.
