Our Year 10 boys have just completed the final challenge of their journey which involves a 20 hour outdoor "solo" at Peel Forest.
Timaru Boys’ High School runs a strong Peer Support programme which sees Year 13 boys being trained to work alongside the new intake of Year 9s and to take responsible leadership within the school.

Have a Happy Christmas and New Year with family and friends. We wish you all a wonderful summer as you rest and refresh. It’s a time to get into the things you’ve been keen to enjoy but had to put on the ‘back burner’ due to commitments at home or work. Our hope is that you not only have a break but that it feels as if it’s been a break.

Congratulations to the boys who completed the Year 10 Leadership Programme which was introduced and planned by Mr McFarlane, Mr Miller, Mr Gibb, Mr Archibald, Mr Simpson and Mr Hill as part of a staff Professional Development group.

After qualifying in 2nd place in the Canterbury Championships, Timaru Boys’ High School accepted the invitation to attend the 30th Condor 7s Tournament.
Timaru Boys' High School teams won both the Competitive (TBHS 1 Matthew Gualter and Tim Sheed who was replaced by Lewis Tinkler) and Social (TBHS 2 Jack Lister and William Hampton) Grades of the recent Secondary Schools Tennis Bash.
With a great sense of pride these young men have designed and manufactured a range of different solutions to the Container Design Brief that they have undertaken as part of their course of study.
Junior Prizegiving commences this Friday 9 December at 11:00am in Hogben Hall after which time students who are not involved in Conferencing are free to leave school.
Congratulations to our eight athletes (five junior and three senior) who competed at the National Athletics Championships held in Auckland over three days from Friday 2 December to Sunday 4 December.
Congratulations to Jack Crossan on his selection to trial for the U16 New Zealand basketball team.
This year, Timaru Boys’ High School has continued to build and develop our school-wide programme Positive Behaviour For Learning” (PB4L) that reinforces positive behaviour and fosters life skills for our young men.
