The appointment of Paula McMcMecking as the Memorial Library Archivist is making an impact.
Paula is giving renewed order and consulting on priorities for managing the resources that date back to the school’s founding in 1880
She is able to build on the previous accomplishments of Jeff Elston (over two decades) and Hamish Cameron prior to that.
The wealth of material that is retained in the Memorial Library is truly impressive. The addition of the western wing thirty years ago [Bruce Leadley Archives] has served us well. Additional container storage adjacent to the Library is now being utilized.
Paula has taken on the Archivist role along side her school role in Careers and Transition support. Her archivist position has been made possible thanks to the support of Old Boy’s National Exec Auckland rep, Noel Davies.
