Rector's message - April 2016

We finish Term 1 with our traditional Anzac Service on Friday 15 April at 2pm. Please join us in Hogben Hall if you can make it. All the boys will process through the Memorial Library at the end, to respectfully place their poppy before one of our 3 commemorative wreaths. The guest speaker for 2016 will be Lieutenant-Colonel Eugene Whakahoehoe - Old Boy and current Commanding Officer of Burnham Military Camp.

Coaches Wanted

Hockey Coaches required

Nearly 100 boys have indicated they wish to play Hockey for the school this year. For this to happen we desperately need more coaches for our Division 3 teams.

At the beginning of April the Timaru Boys’ High School Lawn Bowls team took part in the 2016 inaugural South Island Secondary Schools Lawn Bowls pairs and singles tournament. Our players were Tom Taiaroa, Jason Hodgett, David Ellis and Cameron Ellis.

Timaru Boys’ High School entered a team of eight boys for this event. It was a very successful day and the boys demonstrated the POWER values by assisting with the setup of the venue and their behaviour and good sportsmanship throughout the day.
