We are a group of five boys taking part in the Young Enterprise Scheme. Our business's name is Blue Awareness and it is our goal to raise funds and awareness for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand by producing and distributing custom made ties, sublimated with the blue ribbon logo.

We are a Young Enterprise company called Upbeat Wine taking part in the YES (Young Enterprise Scheme). 

Wall mounted wine racks are available for purchase from one of our Young Enterprise teams for $30.

A TBHS Young Enterprise Group is selling POWER wristbands to show the real values of our school and to represent our school with pride. 

Congratulations to George Hill who continues to go from strength to strength in his chosen field of music.

Work is well underway for our major fundraiser, the annual Fireworks Bonanza, which will be held on Friday 4 November. Over $17,000 was distributed from last year’s fundraising venture and distributed to school departments.  Further information will be available at the beginning of Term 4.

On 8-9 July, Year 10 students Hayden Jefferson and George Guerin participated in the National TeenAg Grand Final, held in the South Canterbury District at a variety of locations including Caroline Bay and the Theatre Royal.

Sister Cities Timaru invites applications from Secondary School Students to represent the Timaru District on an escorted Educational and Cultural Exchange to Eniwa, Hokkaido, Japan.

Maynard Marks Property Consultants from Christchurch have been appointed as Project Managers for the next round of 5YA Property funding.

James Watt travelled to Brisbane with Coach Kane Newland in the July school holidays for two weeks of tennis action. James performed well in the Churchie Junior Championships winning the 16 Boys’ title.

This event was held on 9 July in Invercargill. The team consisted of Riley Taylor, Campbell Lindblom, Reed Stevenson, Jack Sands and Matthew Moore.

The PTA are now happy to receive donations of good quality uniforms. These can be delivered to the Student Office.  

On 8 August our top five Junior and top four Senior students battled it out against local schools in the Aoraki Badminton Competition. 

A casual vacancy has occurred on the Board of Trustees for an elected parent representative. 

The Student Office now has a full stock of sizes of TBHS Jackets and Hoodies.

A reminder that senior students, Year 12 and 13, must have completed a vehicle permission form before they bring a vehicle to school.

This will take place on Friday 28 September, the last day of Term 3. or better still, direct credit into the school account: ASB 123159 0038004 00

Senior reports were available through the Parent Portal on Friday 16 September, the end of Week 8.

All Year 11, 12 and 13 Conferencing will take place on Friday 23 September, the last day of Term 3. 

Students thinking about further study after they leave school have many decisions to make.

Please note that NZQA Fees of $76.70 are payable by the end of August to avoid a penalty. Please make sure you have paid these to enable your son to access his internal and external credits for the year.
