Sometimes things are over–complicated in Education. Important priorities or concepts can get buried beneath Education jargon or junk. At TBHS we try to keep it straightforward but effective. We are, put simply, here to help each boy to know more, do more, and be more. We’re here to challenge and support so boys learn, grow, and flourish. We do our bit so they can do theirs well.

All parents and caregivers are invited to an NCEA Information Evening to be held Wednesday 6 June 7:00pm-8:00pm.

These take place next week, Wednesday May 23rd –Friday May 25th.

Stage 1 of the Thomas House Redevelopment has commenced with the demolition of the old Games Room and Gym.

Following on from the recent coaches night, a survey is going to be sent out to coaches asking about their experiences and also for ideas on how things could be done better.

Congratulations to Will Gibson who has been selected for the Junior World Waterski Championships to be held in Sensena, Spain from 2-5 August.

The National Age Group Swim Championship in Auckland held over five days, commenced on 17 April with Riley Taylor, Reed Stevenson, Jack Sands, Matthew Moore and William Tudgey participating.

On 10 April, a team of ten TBHS swimmers headed to Ashburton to compete in the Aoraki Swimming Championship. The team consisted of: Riley Taylor, Reed Stevenson, Campbell Lindblom, Jack Sands, Matthew Moore, Campbell Plows, Dominic Coleman, William Tudgey, Harry Sands and Bede Fisher.

Congratulations to Old Boy Maka Mafileo (a member of last year's 1st XV) who made the Tongan under 20 side that played in the recent Pacific tournament with New Zealand,

The traditional CBHS winter exchange was held in cool showery conditions in Christchurch on Tuesday 15 May.

On Thursday 10 May, the Year 10 Drama class walked to the South Canterbury Drama League Playhouse on Church Street, where Sharleyne Diamond, League Secretary, hosted the boys on a tour of the premises.
