On Tuesday afternoon we were joined by members of Matua Smiley Haua’s whānau to lay to rest the damaged whakairo (carvings) from our whare.

We wish every success to all our young men completing their Timaru Boys’ career in 2017. Take the best of TBHS with you into the world beyond the gate. Be prepared to find your own way ahead.

This final and most difficult challenge for a number of boys is called The Solo which is based around the boys completing twenty hours in isolation within a designated site.

Timaru Boys entered three teams to compete in the ARA Year 10 Science Competition at Timaru Girls' High School on Thursday 23 November.

We are very proud of several of our young men who hit the headlines recently, receiving positive praises for their help in rescuing one of our senior citizens who was in strife on her mobility scooter.

Thank you to the Year 9 and 10 students who participated in the recent replanting of vegetation at Caroline Bay.

The Condor National Schools 7s are done and dusted with our boys finishing 7th out of the top 32 school qualifiers; this was a great effort by the boys, who were supported by a strong and vocal parent contingent who travelled to Auckland.

Congratulations to Mitchell Skudder-Dey and Cam Anderson who were named joint SuperCup players of the year at a Football South Prizegiving in Dunedin.

These make the perfect gift for Christmas - frame the tea towel, send them to out-of-town family and friends, or just use them!

The PTA would like to thanks all parents, staff and boys who helped to make last month’s Fireworks so successful. 

This year we are asking all Year 10 students going into Year 11 in 2018, and Year 11 students going into Year 12, to have an extended text to read over the holidays.
