Update from the Board of Trustees.

Board of Trustees —

The Board of Trustees met on Tuesday 23 February and the following are some key points from this meeting.

  • Alison Leadley was selected to fill the casual vacancy created by the resignation of Ginny Vincent, who was also the deputy chairperson. Alison has been a parent representative on the board for a number of years and her continued contribution to the work of the board is much appreciated.
  • Keri Johnston was elected as deputy chairperson – Keri is also the chairperson of the board’s hostel subcommittee.
  • The board received a comprehensive and informative report from Pathways Coordinator Jo Shaw, as part of the normal board reporting process, on the work she is doing in the Careers space.
  • Two property projects are in the final planning stages, with work scheduled to start in the April holidays – the first is an upgrade of the music suite, and the second is an upgrade of the gymnasium and changing rooms.
  • The board also discussed the draft 2021 strategic plan and agreed that the draft should now be adopted.
  • The board also agreed that the SchoolDocs site where the school’s policies and procedures are located will go live to the school community – look out for advice to come about how to access the SchoolDocs site.
