Student Office Reminders
Some reminders from the student office for students and parents/caregivers
Reminders for Students
If you arrive at school late, please sign in at the student office. If you leave school before the end of the day, please sign out. It is important in an emergency situation that we know who is on the school grounds.
If you need to leave school during the school day you will need a red card. These are issued by the Dean on duty during form time. You will need your caregivers permission to leave school - this could be a note, email or call to the office.
If you know that you will be out of school for an event or activity (e.g. sport that you participate in out of school) you need to let us know in writing at least a week in advance. If we do not get notified in advance, your absence is likely to be marked as unjustified.
If you have borrowed an item of uniform (including socks, ties, shoes) please return these as soon as possible. Moving forward, emails will be sent home when an item is lent out from the student office to help ensure our small stock of spares are returned.
Reminders for parents/caregivers:
Please keep the office updated with your contact details: phone number, address, email.
If the student won't be at school due to illness, please let the office know as soon as you make the decision to keep them home. We have simplified the process to notify us of an absence using SchoolApp, alternatively you can leave a message or send an email.
After 3 days of absence due to illness we request a med cert. This is particularly important for our senior students who may have missed assessments during their time off. If you have any difficulties meeting this request, please let the office know.
If you need to contact the office please call us on 688 1122 or email office@timarugirls.school.nz. I am happy to assist with any questions you may have.
Thank you
