Whats New with the Crew
We have a few more new faces in our Kura this term.
We would like to WELCOME three new staff to our school whanau.
Mrs Nicola Sorenson
Hi, I am Nicola Sorenson I have replaced Amanda in the school office. I was a student here at the school back in the 80’s, my husband is a plumber with Foley’s, my daughter Kate is here in Year 12 and Marcus is at TBHS in Year 11.
I have been a Travel Agent for the past 30 years. For the past 10 years as a home based Travel Broker. I have been really fortunate to have travelled extensively over the years.
I still have my office ticking along processing refunds and credits due to Covid-19, more work than booking a holiday! I am looking forward to this role and also becoming part of the TGHS community.
Miss Michelle Mitchell
Hi, I’m Michelle and I am covering Mrs King’s Guidance Counselling role while she is on maternity leave. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling. My working background has been four years in Whanganui as a Youth Justice Social Worker and three years with the SCDHB as a social worker and Primary Mental Health Clinician.
I am looking forward to this role and becoming part of the TGHS community.
Miss Tracy Keeton
Hello, I’m Tracy and I am from Cincinnati, Ohio in the USA. I recently moved to Timaru from Christchurch and have been living in New Zealand for almost three years.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology which I completed in the USA. I have traveled around the world working in different schools where I had the opportunity to teach, coach, and support a diverse range of students with special needs.
I am excited to join this amazing team at TGHS.
