Last Thursday 17 students were incredibly fortunate to take part in a GirlBoss Summit facilitated by GirlBoss Founder, 21 year old Alexia Hilbertidou.

The day was aimed at empowering young females to aim high, have confidence in their own abilities and use these to reach their potential. The students learnt about developing their own “personal brand” and practised their networking and interview skills. Alexia had many powerful messages for the girls to think about including “If you want opportunities not many people get, you need to make choices not many people make”. A huge thank you to Venture Timaru for organising the event and the Ministry of Education for funding it.
