This trucking expo was held at the Levels raceway for students to experience and explore roles within the trucking industry.

This expo was held in conjunction with South Canterbury Road Safety and Mrs Kelliher took two interested Gateway students out to this event. By using VR Headsets, the students could see things from the perspective of a truck driver on the road, including how obstacles cannot be seen. 

Students then rode alongside operators from Temuka Transport and Hilton Haulage in a range of trucks around the racetrack. There was the opportunity to talk about pathways into careers in transport and logistics with both the drivers and the HR department.
