Cultural Diversity Mural
The Cultural Committee felt the school grounds needed a spruce up and organised a mural to be painted on the bare concrete tennis court walls.
Along with organising the Ahurea (Cultural) Inter-house Competition the Cultural Committee also felt that a mural would help make the grounds more aesthetically pleasing along with promoting the idea of Cultural Diversity.
A competition asking for concepts was put in the school Daily Notices giving the winning entry a chance to be immortalised on the tennis court walls.
Minnie Leung and May Ng were the winners and also painted the mural along with Patty Pun, Pat Laothepphitak, Peem Laothepphitak and Agnes Leung.
A big thank you goes to the Creative Communities Scheme for assistance with funding the project.
We hope that this is only a start and that more creativity can be added to our school grounds.
