The weather at the regatta was mostly fine with the wind picking up at certain points. Level 2 COVID rules meant limited viewing for athletes and supporting people.

Thank you to Charlette Grant for getting the girls training underway with programmes and assisting the athletes behind the scenes at the regatta. This has been really appreciated. Charlette is an old girl of TGHS and her knowledge has been helpful.

A special mention also to Glen Patterson who has coached TGHS in previous seasons. Many hours go into these roles, which ensures our athletes are technically able to be on the water safely.

This season the squad will be coached by Antonio Frances-Rees who is also coaching Roncalli. The girls are excited to be back in the boats and training again.

Thank you to the house parents over the weekend, Gemm and Stu Anderson-Lundie, who organised nutritious food, travel, accommodation which was very much appreciated.

Also to the parents who support the squad off the water by ensuring the ‘nuts and bolts’ are where they should be! 😊
