Congratulations to Ella Ambrose, Tiah Moore and Isabelle England for starring in this year's SC Drama League Junior Production.

The following is an email we received from the Drama League about this year's production:

Timaru Girls' High School consistently has a number of students represented each year with our Junior Section. They have been an absolute pleasure and credit to the school as we have come to expect.

FOOTLOOSE the Musical, is a step up for our Junior Section. We have lifted the age group to high schoolers only, under the Juniors – High School banner for the second year. Footloose is over two hours long and has difficult harmonies and very challenging fast paced choreography. It has required three months of huge commitment and long rehearsals and the cast’s dedication to the arts is worthy of being recognised and celebrated by your wider school community.

The school group photo above features three TGHS students: For all three this is their debut performance for the Juniors – High School section. Ella Ambrose comes to us fresh from America and plays the lead role of Urleen, one of three sassy female leads. She is a lovely all round performer and great ideas contributor. Isabelle England is young for the role of our Dance Captain, however, her leadership, dedication and initiative qualities are deserving of it. She is a fabulous hard working dancer and taking the role in her stride. Tiah Moore part of our six strong dance troupe is an up and coming tripple threat with great company stage craft.
