TGHS and Aoraki Secondary School Cross Country Events

After a deluge of rain leading up to the school cross country this was postponed for a week and what a decision that was.

A week later we were blessed with some fantastic weather (almost too hot) for the annual school cross country.

Participation was high on the day with all students competing to the best of their ability. There were plenty of smiles on their faces and everyone enjoyed the great course that Mr Dawson sets up each year.

Aoraki Secondary School Cross Country

The Aoraki Secondary School Cross Country was held on Tuesday 13th May at Ashbury Park.

This event attracts the top runners from all the secondary schools in the Aoraki Region who all compete in the challenging course around Ashbury Park.

A massive thanks to Emma Habraken, Emma Gardiner, Kate Macdonald, Amelia Martin, Greer Pratt and Sofia Wilson who set up the whole course alongside Sport South Canterbury staff and also for marshalling in the afternoon. Thanks also to Clint and Mark form our property team for their support of both events.
