The Arts Department is thrilled to welcome our new Music teacher, Meghan McNally. Meghan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role and she has already had a large number of students express an interest in joining our TGHS Choir. The Choir will begin rehearsals in Week 5 and students are encouraged to talk to Mrs McNally if they still wish to join.

Arts Competition

To celebrate International Women’s Day we are holding an arts competition with categories in Songwriting, Painting/Drawing, and Photography. Entries will be due by Friday the 14th of March and winners announced in Week 8 of term. The theme for entries is ‘International Women’s Day – Accelerate action towards gender equality.’

School Production

Our Combined TGHS/TBHS Production this year is Guys and Dolls. Auditions will be held in Week 8 of Term One.

Guys and Dolls is a musical romantic comedy involving the unlikeliest of Manhattan pairings: a high-rolling gambler and a puritanical missionary, and a showgirl dreaming of the straight-and-narrow and a crap game manager who is anything but.

Guys and Dolls takes us from the bustle of Times Square, to the dance clubs of Havana, to the sewers of New York City as it demonstrates the great lengths to which a guy will go when he truly falls in love with a “doll.”
