After last year's cancellation of the Summer Exchange due to covid in our community, it was fantastic to finally board the bus and head to Oamaru on Tuesday 7th March for the annual Summer Exchange v Waitaki Girls' High School.

TGHS had teams competing in Senior and Junior Volleyball and Touch Rugby and Senior Tennis.

Waitaki won the points in the Senior and Junior Volleyball and Touch Rugby but only by the slimmest of margins. Both our Volleyball and Touch teams played very well during the day. Grace Austin and Annie Shearer managed to get us on the board in the Senior Tennis with Annie winning her singles and Grace and Annie teaming up to win the doubles.

Well done to every one of our girls who displayed great sportsmanship and for giving it everything for their team and our school.

Special thanks to Malfy, Mr Collins and Mick Geary our touch coach, who also doubled as our bus driver for the day for their support.
