The Pasifika group celebrated Samoan Language Week (which was in Week 5) at an assembly in Week 9.

The school got involved in a Samoan game and learned about Samoan culture, food and language. The girls performed two dances, Siva Samoa, a traditional Samoan dance, and a Sasa, a sitting/standing dance where hand movements are used to represent everyday activities performed to a rhythm or drum beat.

It was great to experience the sharing of a culture and a big thank you to the girls for having the courage to get on the stage and present in front of their peers.
