Timaru Girls' High School Social

Miss Georgia Guilford —

The much anticipated social was held on the evening of the 30th of July, which had been postponed earlier in the year.

The social was well attended by mostly Year 9 and 10 students from Timaru Girls' High School, Timaru Boys' High School and Craighead Diocesan School. The turnout was excellent which resulted in a very packed Nora Dickie Hall. Spirits were high and the students attending had a fantastic time. Jenna Tomkinson said, "We had the time of our lives" and Charlotte Bennett said, "The vibe was immaculate".

The event was organised by the Year 13 Social Committee as a fundraiser for this year's school ball. The Social Committee was supported by the TBHS Prefects and the Craighead Social Committee to ensure the evening ran smoothly. They were armed with water pistols to keep control of the dance floor.

A huge thanks must go to the students who organised this event and the teachers from the three schools who gave up their evenings to supervise. Not to mention the hundreds of students who attended, had a great time and were on their best behaviour.
