Board of Trustees Update

Board of Trustees —

Highlights from the last Board Meeting held on the 25 October.

The triennial election has come and gone, and we have two returning parent representative members re-elected to the board – Keri Johnston and Adam Martin, and two new parent representatives elected – Carlene Drummond and Angela Habraken. The staff representative election was also held, and Andrew Collins has been re-elected for a second term.

The board also welcomed new student representative Kelsey-Anne Davis. The retiring student representative Mazaiah Isaako-Tuala was farewelled and thanked for her time on the board and the contribution she made on behalf of students.

Retiring members Alison Leadley and Vicki McKnight have been co-opted back on to the board until March 2023 to assist the new board with handover, and we thank them for their service over a number of years.

The work of the board at this stage of the year is focused on meeting the requirements of the new planning and reporting framework, which comes into effect on 1 January 2023. The effect of this is that the annually updated charter will be replaced with a three-year strategic plan and an annual implementation plan. When finalised, these plans will be published on the school’s website for parents to view. The board’s work around the annual budget process is also now well under way.
