2022 has seen the return of our International cohort here at Timaru GIrls High!

We have had a number of new students arriving from different destinations around the world.

Term 3 saw a number of girls arriving and staying in both ‘The House’ and out in the community in different homestays. Denise and Dominique arrived from Hong Kong, Risa arrived from Japan on what should have been a short 2 week stay, but ended up staying for over a term! There was a return of the Ikubunkan Students this year, which saw us welcome Riko and Momoka for 6 weeks.

We have welcomed a further three students from Thailand; Pancake, Sydney and Athen at the start of term 4.

Term 1 of 2023 is ramping up to be a busy time with 17 new Timaru Girls High students arriving! That’s not mentioning the boys!

How our domestic families can help…

Many families' circumstances have changed, which has meant they are now unable to host any further international students. This means we need new families to host our new international students! And this is where you may be able to help! :)
