With the resurgence of covid in our community we had to make the tough decision of cancelling the full school swimming sports this year.

We were committed to running the championship events and were thrilled to have 15 swimmers enter these races. We spent an afternoon at the Timaru Boys’ High School pool where the racing was fast and furious.

Heidi Uys was in scintillating form setting new records in the 100m Individual Medley, 100m Senior Freestyle, 100m Open Butterfly and the 100m Senior Backstroke.

Special thanks to Timaru Boys’ High School for the use of their pool and facilities and to our wonderful sports committee girls who were timekeepers and result takers on the day.
