The Timaru District Council has introduced new Safer speed limits on our roads around schools.

By implementing these changes, the council aims to enhance road safety and create streets where people feel safe to walk, ride, cycle, scoot, drive, and access public transport.

The speed limit on Cain Street and Buchanan Street is now 30 km/h

Please be aware, when dropping off or picking up students to keep entrance ways and vehicle crossings clear.

Parking over entrance ways can be very frustrating for our neighbours and also creates vehicle congestion at a busy time.
