Once again a huge thank you to the businesses who have supported us by having Gateway students for work experience this term. 24 students have been out on placement with most finishing this week.

A handful of students are continuing their placements into Term 3 and we also have a number of new students starting Gateway placements in Term 3 too.

The Gateway programme allows students to explore different career opportunities while still being at school. They learn practical skills and increase their knowledge in a chosen industry and also complete unit standards associated with that industry. Sometimes these unit standards count towards an apprenticeship, if they choose to go down that pathway too.
