Titirangi Primary First Chinese, Asian, and Southern Asian Whānau Hui

On Thursday 28 November, we hosted our very first Chinese, Asian, and Southern Asian Families Whānau Hui in the school hall from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

Our incredible MCs, Pranaika P. and Olivia H., impressed everyone with their clear, concise, and confident presentation skills.

The evening was an opportunity to:
Connect with families from across our school community
Share ideas and celebrate our diversity
Strengthen partnerships to support our tamariki’s learning and well-being

A highlight of the evening was the wonderful Bollywood Group performance, led by our talented teacher Priya, which brought vibrant energy to the event.

We wrapped up the hui with thoughtful discussions, kai from Golden Bridge Takeaways (Golf Road) and Mt Everest Kitchen (Blockhouse Bay), and valuable ideas about how TPS can continue to be culturally responsive and celebrate the cultures that make our community unique.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to this special event. It was a memorable evening of bonding, networking, and celebrating what makes Titirangi Primary extraordinary!
