Kia ora koutou, Tālofa, Namaste, Mālō e lelei, Kia Orana, Fakaalofa Lahi Atu, Bula Vinaka, Nihao, As Salamu alaikum, Beunos Dias, Kamusta, Hello!

He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa - a warm welcome to all.

We are straight back into Ako Tahi here at Titirangi School and we are excited for the learning opportunities ahead. Our concept this term is Hoko - Enterprise (incorporating needs/wants and technology). Through concept, we hope to encourage our learners to develop the qualities displayed in our learner profiles - the ruru, a wise thinker, the tui, an achiever always aiming high, the piwakawaka, confident and ready to explore and lastly, the kiwi - respectful of those around them and the environment, always viewing things with a bicultural and multicultural lens. I'm really looking forward to students sharing their discoveries on our end of term celebration of learning day!

We hope you like our new netball court with it's colourful new sport's surface. We were lucky enough to receive grants from The NZ Community Trust and The North and South Trust which allowed us to move forward with this amazing project - we are extremely grateful for their support.

Our next planned project is a much needed repaint of our swimming pool. Thank you to all those that participated in last term's Mathathon. The money raised will be put aside for this. We are waiting on whether we have been successful in securing the money from other community organisations to be able to move forward with this in 2024 - we are really hopeful. We were able to give away some cool prizes to both classes and individuals, including art packs, book packs, sports packs, wireless earbuds and a scooter.

Class parents are working hard behind the scenes to make our School Gala a successful and memorable one. We also have lots of other exciting things happening this term - including Diwali celebrations, photo day for our new classes, athletics day, the end of year disco, the Kōtuitui Writing Competition, the Kōtuitui Kapa Haka Festival and for our Year 6 students - intermediate school visits. Watch out for more information about these in the weeks to come.
