We're still buzzing from the incredible performance at the cross-country carnival! What a difference a year makes!

2024 Highlights:

• Out of 36 runners, 22 placed in the top 20.

• Team Points:

  • WPS: 356 points

  • Laingholm: 274 points

  • Konini: 235 points

  • TPS: 218 points

2025 Triumph:

• This year, an astounding 35 out of 39 runners placed in the top 20.

• For the first time ever, TPS had at least one runner finish in the top three of every race.

• Team Points:

  • TPS: 365 points.

  • WPS: 247 points.

  • Konini: 228 points.

  • Laingholm: 227 points.

• We have a strong team for the future, with many of our 8 and 9-year-olds eligible to compete again in 2026.

Huge thanks to Mr Ramji, Mrs Booth and Warren for pushing our runners to their limits. We had great support from our community with many beaming parents with the teams performance. Thank you to Dave and Sarah (Emily B) for the ice blocks and Step and Will (Mae and Lola) for donating the lollies for our runners.

Our revamped training routine, which included daily runs, weekend sessions, and a focus on mindset and strategy, has clearly paid off. We seem to have found a winning formula for the years to come!

In addition to the above, I would like to add the following:

• The team's success is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our runners, coaches and whanau.

• We are proud of our team's accomplishments and look forward to many more years of success.
