Term 4 - helped wanted with PMP
Thursday mornings 9-10.30am, Rostered - not every week.
We are looking for two parent helpers to support our PMP programme on a Thursday morning from Term 4.
We have a timetable so you will not be rostered on each week. It starts at 9am and finishes around 10.30am.
This is a very important and fun programme for our Year One tamariki. Please contact Belinda Matthee in Room 1 or email belindam@titirangi.school.nz if you are available.
The purpose of the PMP programme is to develop motor skills through movement. These skills are related to the child’s own needs, in the areas of eye/hand, eye/foot coordination, locomotion and balance and fitness (including stamina, flexibility, and strength).
The Perceptual Motor Programme aims to develop children’s perceptions and understandings of self through gross motor experiences. It helps children to refine gross motor skills to prepare the brain and body for formal classroom learning. This is a fundamental part of our foundation programme.
We appreciate your support!
