We are excited to announce that we will be participating in the University of Canterbury Kiwi English and Mathematics competitions this year. For Year 5 and 6 Students only.

These are both 50-minute online competitions for any student that would be interested. The cost is $9.90 per paper. The competition will be held at school on Thursday 4th July, English at 9am and Mathematics at 11.30am. These will be administered under strict exam conditions.

The competition is for those students who enjoy challenging yet rewarding experiences. We believe that participation in competition not only promotes a deeper understanding but also cultivates crucial skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and resilience.

This test format will most likely suit students who feel secure in their skills in these curriculum areas.

If you are interested in your child participating, please email me for an application letter. The application letter needs to be returned to me no later than Tuesday 30th April along with payment to the school office.

Certificates will be provided for all participating students, with the top student in each competition receiving a prize.
